Madder roots are soaked a few times to get rid of any brown hues. This waste water can be used to obtain the prettiest oranges. Embellished with a needle-woven patch made with naturally-dyed threads.

There is ‘Slow Stitch’ and then there is ‘S L O W Stitch’

Your book has been made using traditional bookbinding methods and covered with bookcloth made from naturally-dyed fabrics embellished with darning.

Please note: natural dyes are tricksy to photograph and in real life the colours are less saturated than digital cameras portray (especially the reds).
