Vintage POW Button Hook
Delightful vintage find from Townshend’s Emporium.
A charming hand-made button hook dating to the 1940's World War Two era when small pieces like this were made by interned prisoner's of war (POW) in the UK to gift or sell for essentials.
They were skilfully made from discarded scrap metal and plastics/washers etc which give the items their distinctive unique striped detailing and make them a very tangible link to the past.
Dimensions - Length 12cm, Width 1.3cm (approx).
