Clare O’Neill Artworks

Clare O’Neill is a textile artist living on Ashdown Forest, East Sussex. With a background in studying textile design at art schools in London and Surrey, she creates mixed media paintings that showcase her love of nature and wildlife. 

Clare is a keen collector, and surrounds herself with an eclectic mix of items throughout her home. Where she takes great pleasure in the items, sourced from near and far: anywhere from local boot fairs and yard sales to antique centres around the world.

Never one to follow the “less is more” approach, she finds by decorating her home with objects she loves allows her to further express her creative side, and this is also reflected in her work. Intricate layers of newspaper, collage and scripts are all elements that are returned to again and again.

Clare has developed an eco friendly range of giftware featuring greeting cards, stationery, prints, hangings and bunting. Her work has been described as tactile, organic and expressive.
