Leigh Shepherd Designs

Leigh is a mixed media artist and jewellery maker. She works from her home studio here in Haworth - just down the cobbles from Hawksbys. All of her work is inspired by her love of upcycling, nature and vintage finds. Leigh's resin jewellery range features earrings made from sixpence coins, pendants made from wooden Scrabble tiles and brooches made from draughts and domino pieces. The Japanese Collection is created with chiyogami papers and the Cottage Garden Collection features her ink drawings. Leigh's mixed media pieces are created with vintage bobbins, shuttles, tins and typecase trays. She uses resin to protect the natural inclusions and to create shadows, layers and depth.
