Lindsey’s abstract paintings are a soulful expression of the inherent energy and shapes found in the Yorkshire landscape, whether in her hometown of Scarborough or the moody moors of Haworth, her two favourite places.
A former textile designer, Lindsey enjoys the tactile and kinaesthetic qualities of mixing various media, embracing the ‘happy accidents’ and the uncontrollable nature of her materials.
Due to the complexities of surface and texture in her work, Lindsey uses a limited colour palette to express and capture the atmosphere and dramatic nature of her surroundings.
Her style is intuitive and expressive; her aim is to paint authentically, conveying her own unique artistic perspective.
